How to Prepare Green Mustard Salad (Ensaladang Mustasa)

Green Mustard Salad
Green Mustard Salad is one of the best Filipino salad you could ever ask for, you usually encounter eating this Green Mustard Salad in the provinces. Nowadays, hotels are also serving Mustard Salad as appetizers. Eating green mustard has a lot of health benefits to our body - Green Mustards are low in calories and contains a lot of antioxidants. Green Mustard provides an excellent source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Folic Acid, Calcium, Carotenes, Manganese, Copper and Green Mustard contains a lot of fiber. Green Mustard is also a very good source of phosporus, vitamins B1 & B2, protein, potassium, magnesium and iron.


Ingredients:
Green Mustard (Mustasa)- 8 pieces (sliced)
2 Tomatoes - sliced
2 Red Onions - sliced
Ground Pepper
Salt
Vetsin
Cider Vinegar

How to Prepare:
1. Rinse sliced Green Mustard with running water and place it in a bowl
2. Combine sliced tomatoes and sliced red onions
3. Add ground pepper, salt and vetsin to taste
4. Add cider vinegar, approximately 5 tbsp, you can add more as desire
5. Put inside the fridge 2 hours before serving

Makes 4 to 5 servings. Best serve with Fried Fish (especially "galunggong" or blue mackerel scad)
